I felt really happy for Aiko when Raoul asked her mother to marry him and she accepted. I felt happy because now Aiko has a caring father to take care of her. She now also came in contact with her father, who lives in Japan. I think the future is going to be interesting for her.

I wonder if Aiko's father miss Aiko since he knew that she existed. I wonder if her father had ever though about his other family halfway across the globe.

I wonder if Aiko's mom had told her about her dad since she was little, would she be a miserable girl then? If Aiko could choose between her father and her mother who would she choose?

On page 53, when the author describes about empanadas. I kind of want to try it. The way the author describes it makes my mouth water. "The pastry is so light and fluffy. It melts on my tongue. And the meat filling is spiced just right with chilli pepper and cinnamon."

I wonder what happened to Aiko's father. What had made him leave Aiko and her mother. I think the author should have shown a sample of Aiko's comic. I think it would give more of an idea of her artist skills.

I wonder why Aiko didn't want her mother to go to her school. Maybe she is embarassed? I also wonder what Indigo farming is like.

I want to like this book, but I'm just Not Getting It. The manga connection is weak and unconvincing. her written chapters sound very shallow, and references to other manga/anime series are either uninspired, like Miyazaki, or just plain wrong, like when she and her friend play Sailor Moon, with one as "Sailor Moon" and the other as -- get this -- "Venus Moon". Bro, do you even manga???

Not the most brilliantly written YA, but interesting concept and cool to see a character with a disability (cerebral palsy) put front and center.
