Status Updates From Marvel Masterworks: The Fan...

Issue #8 done. Still find some of the plotting and storytelling annoying, but I’ll give kudos to:

1) Introduction of Alicia, long-time love of Ben Grimm;

2) The creepy-a** face Kirby gave Puppet-Master;

And 3) the sad ending. Can’t believe they did that in a 1962 Fantastic Four issue.

Issue #7 done. Can’t say I’m a fan of reed, Johnny, and Ben’s personalities in these early issues.

Reed just casually leaving five billion people shrunk is a total d**k move, even for him.
