Status Updates From Worlds of Exile and Illusio...

‘Planet of Exile’ - Quite different in plot and focus from the Le Guin I’m used to, and not my favourite of hers but really thrilling and well-paced. I preferred ‘Rocannon’s World’ overall, but this is still a good read.

‘Dowry of Angyar’ and ‘Rocannon’s World’ read. My GOAT is back at it again - really enjoyed these two first stories. Full review will follow - but one sees so much of Le Guin’s hallmark style already firmly established at the start of her novel-writing career.

Really interesting to see this early look into her “hero” writing and her female characters too.
