Last story finished.

This probably was my least favorite of the anthology, but it was still good. This was Jonathan Maberry's story involving his established character of Joe Ledger. It took place in the desert of Afghanistan. A special forces team is sent based on the threat of a biological pathogen, but turns into something else, something weirder.

Story 3 is finished. A Bad Season for Necromancy by David Liss. I liked this one. It took me a little while to get into it, but once I did, it was fun. It's not as dark as the other stories, so far. It's about a ne'er-do-well who gets his hands on a book that can raise the dead. He uses it to make a quick buck, but consequences arise.

Second story was Pipers by Christopher Golden. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. It had some twists that I wasn't expecting. Enjoying this short story collection so far.

Finished story #1: Suffer the Children by Kelley Armstrong and...

That was sooo good, intense, and dark! I did enjoy it. I mean, it wasn't a happy story, but it sure was an exciting one. I'm going to give it a 4.5/5. That's how much I liked it. I really need to read a full length novel by Kelley Armstrong since I've liked the short stuff I've read.
