This is a deep pull, a book put on my tbr long ago. I love parallel universe stories and the reviews of this are good, but the writing is so 2013 it hurts. I know it's YA, but the premise (not the parallel universe part, but the 17-year-old with no training or DESIRE in acting is now working on a movie set with no parents around) is driving me crazy. Hoping I can suspend my disbelief better when the sci-fi kicks in.

Ok, so I’m gonna pause (possibly forever) on this book. It got really boring and I’m not willing to slip back into my reading slump because of this book.

The other review warnings for this book were right! This book went from cool and science-y with just the right amount of romance to a total drama going from high school drama to a college drama. I like books like those, but too many gets old and I was hoping this book would be more on the sci-fi side 😭.

My book boyfriends 2 trillion and 2 trillion and one are introduced in this part. 😂
The science part was a bit mind boggling, but it’s really cool and thought through at the same time.

This book is starting to get interesting and I’m not even that far in! (Also, I’m reading wayyyy too many books at the same time right now…)

The best friend in this book is named Caitlin just like the main girl in Dreamland. It’s ironic. (Or maybe I’m just tired, lol)
