(after ch. 8) Well this just went from bad to worse! Murray is out, Schultz and Barnes are down, Captain Cochran is nowhere to be found and the ghosts are getting more dangerous! It's up to Daniel, Mr. Lang, Cassidy, Joseph and Jie to try and save the Sadie Queen before it ends up destroyed!

(after ch. 3) Funny enough when I was readingA Darkness Strange and Lovely, I had totally forgotten that Jie was female. Here, I actually did remember and it was kinda funny seeing Daniel getting beaten up by her during the bar brawl. And he has formed a friendship with Joseph. But how does Jie get into the mix?

(after prologue) Man, that's a punch to the gut. Even knowing what happens in book 2 doesn't make that departure scene in the hospital hurt any less. But what happened to Cassidy? Was she hurt like Eleanor was? Or worse, killed?
