Status Updates From Dream Caster (Dream Cycle, #1)

Still haven't finished this one. Thought about getting back to it, but I just have too many books right now that I would rather finish. More than likely a DNF.

Yep, definitely dense. He should've felt it coming from a mile away and just, I dunno, lied? Here's to hope he's not TDTL either.

Intriguing world. Where did the fire hounds come from?
Convoluted dialogue, and the hero's a wee bit dense, though.

Interesting premise/world. Curious to see where this goes.

Action early on. Good.

I'm finding the dialogue still a tad much, but I'm not annoyed as much as I was at first. I've started reading it and picturing it as if it was anime. Once I pictured everything in my head like that, it has actually been comfortable and pleasant to read. Aside from the dialogue, it's been a good adventure so far. Everything seems to be tying together. I'm on the last stretch, so let's see how it finishes.

It seems like all the characters feel the need to explain everything about everything. Despite that, there is still plenty of mystery and the story continues to pick up momentum.

Interesting world building. Dystopian setting with strange monsters right out of a fantasy. So far I'm intrigued. I like the protagonist, plenty of potential for character development.
