Enjoying Giorno's passages of memoir here, and some lovely moments in the poetry. The Buddhist influence and its attendant self-satisfaction, is highly annoying in a bunch of places. Actually, his Buddhist comparison of two AIDS-related deaths - Robert Mapplethorpe and Terry Clifford - is downright insulting or at least VERY problematic.
