Kara is acting like a brat. Idris is obviously Tessa's son. I don't remember why she gets to go home byt it is ironic that the demons clearly need the way to earth to be open & need to be summoned to maintain that, but they have convinced the summoners it's a huge pain & an honour to summon them, lol.

Doesn't help that this is a typical 2010s UF/PNR where the FMC is the only female around except for Jill (Eilahn is the only reason I haven't dnf'd, let'sbe real), and all the demon lords want her & her magical pussy. The progress btwn 2000 & 2020 makes the 2010s extremely jarring to read about. I stopped reading this series after this book mainly bc of the change from UF/PNR to high fantasy, but this time I have absolutely despised Ryan & his psychological abuse from the start & I find Kara so fucking dumb (no wonder she has found her calling as a pig).

Weird, I remember the living grove/plant thing but that's pretty much it.
