Intriguing, especially the dialogue. Somewhat stilted and ostentatious style.

Loved the Barbara Streisand/Nick Nolte movie. Barbara's son plays her son in the movie. The book is like a 20 hour read, so there's much more abusive family history. The narrator also talks like a writer, and his vocabulary is impressive. The narrator is also constantly joking, which I like.. Wish me luck.
