I’m a little taken aback by the way women are portrayed in this novel. They are all surveyed for their sexual “comparability” before anything else. This stereotypical, lecherous portrayal of men is not helpful.

Every time I think I have all the information I need to work out the plot, I meet a new character, learn about new circumstances, or see an old problem develop into something else. It’s really exciting!
