Okay so far, not gripping yet but i am intrigued

Been very interesting so far

What a great book! I've been looking for more like this. This type of book reminds me of Pippa Decosta's books, and that is a VERY good thing. The characters are deeply flawed and a far cry from good, even though they do try to do the right thing, their emotions and hangups get in the way.

Lord, everything is going to hell! Everything that could go wrong has, every time something might be working it turns on Lora. This is great! haha! Refreshing in its horrible situations!

In most books when the main character (who is untrained is what she is trying to do) taps into her powers for the first time to try to save the day she somehow latches onto something she has never seen before and does what ever she can to it and somehow saves the day, somehow did the right thing. Not in this book. Lora tries to banish a demon and ends up unbinding it and setting it free. This book is real.

thank-god. a book that doesn't throw the two love interests together within the first few pages. And no insta attraction! no over detailing one person over the others. I hate when you can instantly tell who the interesting character will be because the author starts describing them more than anyone else. Everyone is treated the same. Gotta love good writing.
