Status Updates From Blessed Isle

Nice storm scene, I’ll give it that.

Good, but waaaaay not enough pining. I wanted it to be longer from the beginning, rather than narrated with the characters already together and looking back on their life. I wanted stiff upper lip Englishmen so repressed that they are afire with forbidden longing, and I wanted that for an excruciating amount of chapters. But beggars can’t be choosers with this genre.

Sleep and a dreaming dog are calling me to bed.

A short read from the local library. Just have to let them know that we do appreciate their collection every once and a while, can't buy everything myself no matter how much I'd like to.

I thought him a magnificent madman, and he filled me with awe and delight. In that moment I knew for the first time that I loved him.

Garnet's voice is yummy. Harry's was a bit hard to settle into but not Garnet. Not at all.

"Why do I want to leave this record? Why not leave our story untold?"

Oh. Just...I...that hurt. That bit out of Harry's journal hurt. I am sure this will be me at some point during this book.

Loving the cute written interactions between the Garnet and Harry...

Oh my god, finally some progress! This is rather sweet, I must say...

I will be reading more by this author. I felt like I was... dare I say... waltzing through this story? Such a clever, clever way to speak of love, freedom, change, things unchanged, wasted time, seizing life and galloping off with it... so well done.

They're like an old married couple recounting their darkest days for us, all the while knowing that they have each other and their love. I am so enjoying this.

*sigh* Love...

I'm loving the writing style, language, the structure, the humor and the uh oh...not good...

I'm already in grinning love. I've fallen and I fear there is much more below.

Nope. Clearly still not focusing. Maybe I should give up. :(

I've clearly developed ADHD - my attention is wandering and I have a reading block. Grrr
