My heart truly breaks with what she endured as a child. Prostitution at a very young age, runaway, no stable family, etc Reading up to this page, i was so upset and angry at all who took advantage of her. I thought about quitting the book. I read pages with tears welling in my eyes, Knowing she survived and thrived makes me have hope for any child caught in sex trafficking, prostitution, etc. Miracles happened.

Reading this book ws difficult given the violence it describes. It is great autobiography and a testimony of the importance of life’s mentors and education. I applaude Ms. Phelp’s incredible honesty, determination nd courage. Inspiring story.
