The chapter markers are hot garbage.
Also, this book reminds me of Marc Maron's, "Attempting Normal." Both feature neurotic male main characters who are grappling with their flaws to varying degrees of success.
I find Kennedy's book to be less grating, however, as it includes imaginative interludes, a la rebranding pop star Jewel into J.E.W.E.L., a metal act. This is when the book is at its best, in my opinion.
