Great book, well written. I love a prison story but as much as I enjoyed it, it was really hard to get past the rape scene… Don’t wanna put it in the DNF yet, I plan to pick it back up eventually.

He wanted to say the things Joey had said just before he was taken to St. George’s, the words that had meant so much: I’ve gone with you as far as I can. I’ll be waiting for you.

I’m crying so hard, this book is too raw and I’m afraid of ending it because I fear it won’t be happy and I know it but I rather think they will be together even after everything

I can almost see them together somewhere, in the countryside, having their own cottage somewhere private, repairing it, doing hard work during the day and going to sleep together at night. ❤️ my god I know it's not going to happen
