Status Updates From Further: Beyond the Threshold

Just started to read a collection of sci-fi stories in Further; Beyond the Threshold.

And almost done and still don't see a plot or character growth. The main character did jump from empty unacting shell to acting shell.

pretty boring book. It featuresdumb flat main character. A plot that does not exist, except to say someone woke up 120 centuries too late ( he can't seem to retrain info so maybe the antiaging treatment missed the brain?)
