Status Updates From Suzuka, Vol. 1

I’ve got two chapters left, I can do this.

Asahina is just mean. “God will punish you if you keep living this way.” What the f, witch?! Being chill and cheerful, you mean? And the aunt is a real piece of work, withholding earnings for 3 months because he broke the sauna door in order to prevent a possible accidental death due to her negligence. And the college students sexually harassing a 15-year-old. Everyone sucks here except ML and the cousin.

Oh, this is going to be an “everyone abuses the protagonist, haha” book. Great. 🙄

Unlikeable, stupid characters, including the proprietress of a sauna who’s so blindingly moronic she puts a lock on the INSIDE of a sauna, and a heroine who passes out in said sauna and then gets angry when the hero breaks down the door to rescue her. I am reading this for my “book about a run club” challenge and I’m not sure I can even finish Vol 1.
