Status Updates From Poison (the Lost Gods, #4)

This makes me ragey! If the Pegasus could fly in a matter of minutes from the palace to the estate of the White Eagle why didn't they do it sooner & when I say sooner I mean a week or 2 after they didn't hear back from them? Why waste 2 months? Also if the Eagle was lost for a week what the heck happened between when they left and the week before the disappearance, that they couldn't send a letter back to the palace?

Yes of course! Why care about the jewels that were scattered and lost all over and Ailill had to hunt down for years when the "Majesty" has to have her beauty sleep till the middle of the afternoon? Is the powerful jewels that are needed for the ceremony really such an important reason for someone to clear their schedule and see Ailill and the jewels immediately? *enter enough sarcasm to level a solar system*

Ugggh no... ew... no...can't they be a different kind of Triad? Do they have to be that kind?

Now right at the beginning of the 2nd chapter there was a huge record scratch moment with Gael, untangling himself from 2 fairy women (I'm guessing fairy because of what he said about their wings), it sounded like it was a chore to bed them and I wonder why is that a part of his "services" as a ruler and a potential god especially when he has a lover(?).

I'm not sure where exactly I am, since I'm reading the box set but the 2nd chapter just started so I'm putting a guestimate of 15%.

So 2 years after the 2nd book! Wow! And it took that long for Ailill to be cured from being "soul sick" whatever that means and did to him. All that info of course was spread throughout the first chapter.

I had a break from this book so I could keep reading it. Turned out it still irritating me. This time, it's the 12 White Beasts, age range around 30-40s, all acted like children except Ailil (White Panther) and Verenne (White Bat) (for now). No wonder they all never succeeded finishing the Sacred Ceremony to become god, children trying to be god, for the 9th time might be dead on the cursed ceremony again.

I hate man like Gael, the unicorn shifter, the MC in this book. He had all his reasons but I still do NOT like a man that treats his lover like a DIRTY SECRET! And OMFG, the tension in this book, can they all 15 mortal gods sit together and talk it out??? it's so damn messy. So disappointed with this book, it's not what I had expected, particularly with an MC like Gael, gah!!!
