Hmmm... very interesting. It appears that basically any element past polonium may both exhibit radioactive properties and may not conform to the its group's periodic trends.
Done! Overall, this was a very informative read and I am impressed by the level of research put into it. I also like the integration of history and the people involved in accordance with each element discovered.

The chapter on Astatine basically confirmed what I already knew; that is, not much is known about Astatine, still.

About to start reading the chapter on Astatine! But before I move forward, I'd like to reflect on francium. I find it peculiar that it's been used to study about weak nuclear forces and the electroweak force. I remember my supervisor mentioned something about this while we were in Boston, but I couldn't comprehend what he was saying very well. I'll have to bring this up on Monday!

Just finished the chapter on Technetium. Very cool. It's used in diagnostic imaging.
