So much has gone on in this book and I have no idea how it is going to end.

One of the heroine's mentors tells her we more often think of the bad about ourselves than the good . . . and that certainly describes this character. Quite the tendency to overcome! That's my favorite section so far.

One of my favorite subheadings: "Sticks and stones may twist my bones, but broken vows will kill me."

I'm loving this novel with it's setting in Italy. The slow healing and equal slow path to new love, make the theme of second chances more poignant and realistic.
