After several revolutions, we have arrived at tyranny. So first, we have Timocracy, the rule of the honourable and by definition good but unsustainable, then aristocracy (or oligarchy) which is the evolution through luxuries from timocracy, then democracy, which is tackled in harsh terms (though take one late train and you'll agree with Socrates) to finally come to tyranny, which seems the death of the ideal state.

Socrates highlights that women can also work alongside men in the guard's duties. He even suggests how male and female guard dogs would hunt and guard the flock in the wilds. Sex doesn't determine the jobs if their passion is in it. What determines it is that person's soul. Although Socrates does concede that men are stronger, but some individual women will surpass individual men.

Book I
We get Socrates discussing what justice is not, that justice is a good and then whether the just or the unjust life is better. As usual it’s extremely entertaining to watch him arguing circles around people. And Plato was genuinely a great writer.
