Status Updates From Retribution (Dominion, #3)

This is a slow go for me. I am not enamored of the excessive sex in this book. I'm no prude but would much rather have two or 3 very sensual, tastefully and well-written sexual encounters than sex for the sake of matching 50 Shades (which is what it appears to be). I do like the story and the characters. I will finish this series for sure. Just not particularly impressed with this book.

Slow going in this one...I know she's setting the foundation for the remaining two books which I will definitely read, but this one has required a bit more focus. Sometimes, I think people write lots of sex into their books just to compete with 50 Shades and they really don't need to. I'd much rather have a few WELL DONE and TASTEFUL encounters that several of the same words..swollen, wet, p*ssy, c*nt, cl*t, pre-c*m.

This is an excellent series. However, with the holidays pending, reading time is limited. It will be a while.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish this I enjoyed the 2nd book in this series and was hoping this would be as good. It just gets getting weirder and weirder. It's almost beyond the realm of fantasy. The male main characters are stupid and the female is almost as bad. I am mainly flipping pages.

And I fear I will never care about these people. Ugh. And Michel? Least effective dom ever. He's not even pretending he needs to be in charge now. The fact I don't even like that part of the story is a clue I'm incapable of even letting myself get lost in the story. If there really is one.

Holy crap. I just had to skip 5% of the book already because it's nothing but a recap of the first two books in the guise of a flashback. Wouldn't it be better to simply insert a preface telling people they're jumping into the middle of a series and go back to start at the beginning?

I like Eve less with every page I read. I wanna be a vampire hunter. No, wait I wanna be a student. I wanna stay by the beach all summer. No, wait I wanna save the world! Make up your freakin' mind already and stop acting like a 5 year old at an ice cream parlor.
