Status Updates From The Shrapnel Academy

Terrific, I read this after re-reading "life and loves of a she-devil", which is classic Weldon. Shrapnel Academy is good, great characters who are mainly unlikeable and whose dreadful behaviour catches up with them....
If you want to learn about the futility of war through the history of famous leaders, (which interleaves with the story) this is also good. It's an allegory of it's time..

We must lose our good opinion of ourselves if the world is to be changed, and see ourselves in those we most dislike.
