Status Updates From The Omnibus of Crime

Still wading through the introduction — losing its charm. Book is awkward size and weight, so say nothing of old and fragile, so not good for reading in bed. Think it’s destined to go “behind the wall” for a while.

There are some real gems in this collection.......but also a few losers.

I have skipped a couple of stories but I think everyone does that when reading a collection of short stories. But there are some real winners here that are unfamiliar to me.

I am on a mystery short story binge for this hot weather and what better to pick than a book edited by the great Dorothy Sayers.
