Status Updates From Abelard and Heloise: The Le...

I'm so bored wow

Barely in and can tell how cocky Abelard is

wait this is good

:,(

What an unfortunate life for Abelard :/

Havent even gotten to the letters yet, this is seeming to be quite the star-crossed lovers story

Abelard and Heloise thought they knew temptation, but they never spent two hours at the gym on an empty stomach before going in to a Trader Joe's right when the autumn products hit the shelves. The flesh is weak and the pumpkin spice is willing.

Abolish the death penalty, except for editors who abridged texts without clearly identifying their edition as abridged 🤬

Peak Catholic eroticism, drama at the origins of what would become modern intellectual institutions, and Heloise 's voice ripping thru a millennium of distance to be forcefully present and alive. I haven't read anything that gripped me this much in a long time!
