How did A Study in Scarlet suddenly turn into a western!?

Finished "The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes"

Just finished Study in Scarlet, and it's pretty good. I think a lot of adaptations tend to remove or change the reasons for the murder (usually because they're set in a different time period, and the motivation that's already there wouldn't really work - but you could easily change the details around it to make it work lol).

Anyway, it's a solid start to the series. Looking forward to the next one.

Study in Scarlet is good so far.
