RTC, I ended up enjoying this one for the most part. The majority of the book just kind of rolled by lazily for me and I didn't initially connect with any of the characters, but things really came together at the end in a way that made me appreciate the rest of the story a little more. The more romantic aspects of the book didn't do a whole lot for me though given how trope-heavy they were.

This has been a nice little read so far, though I forgot how much text can be packed into a little mass market sized page. This might be the most "cozy" cozy fantasy I've read so far. That said, it's probably also the least gripping. I'm having a nice time though and interested to see where it goes even if the characters and insta-attraction trope aren't working amazingly for me.

"He smiled for the first time, a thin, distant smile like a slice of the moon." Nice...
