Just finished the introduction and I am genuinely thrilled to get into this. Not sure what that says about me, but it can't be good.

- procession of the Holy Spirit in the New Testament: trinitarian doctrine still hasn’t been formally finalised (which emphasises the importance of tradition) so no “explicit” doctrine of procession is mentioned (in terms of economic and hypostatic.) However, I think John 15:26 is extremely important in this study.

The book is attacking the issue from a more ecclesiological standpoint rather than a theological one so far. I’m not very far in but it seems to be that the West are able to back up their sources with reliable Church fathers whilst the Greeks tend to react towards the West in a more emotional way and assume they are in error.
