This feels like a parody of a historical romance. In a bad way. It doesn’t even have the humor or cleverness of a proper parody.

A quarter into this book I started feeling like this author was one of those who mass produced books for Kindle Unlimited, and she is. 12 book in 12 months last year. Well it sure reads like it. I feel like if this author slowed down and took time to research her stories and to edit her work, it may be worth reading. If she starts one more sentence with “And” I’ll have to stop reading for my own sanity.

Blerg. This started out sooooo well and just fell apart 😩

It's already so much more engaging than the previous book. The prose is better too. I'm cautiously optimistic about this story 🤞🏻

Everything was going so well… then 💥BAM💥 I’m blindsided out of nowhere that the heroine is pregnant with another man’s baby and she tricked the duke into marrying her?! 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️😒FML— I don’t like it!!!😩😭

Started reading this without realizing that the male lead is autistic, but the author made that clear in the first two pages. This'll be interesting.
