There was absolutely no build-up to this insane chemistry they're both mentioning.

The relationship development is not doing it for me. It's almost juvenile, or simply superficial. I can't connect with this couple at all.

I don't get it. Matt, who's an average guy-and gay, gets approached by Con, who's straight-but a gay TV icon, and Matt turns him down. Everytime.
What's the thought process here? Matt in real life would never do that.

Everyone is raving about this book but I am having difficulties. I usually do not get stuck in the little details but I'm finding it hard to believe that a 25 year old plays a detective and has done so for quite a few series, so probably started at 19 (if I have it wrong, sorry). A baby faced detective? Nope. I know that this is a make believe TV show on a make believe book. But I can't get past it for some reason.
