Oh, is this a GOOD book. Most of it reads like literature with the big L. All the quotes too at the beginning of each interlude. Brooks did SUCH a universal human feel throughout and also immense depth within the scatterings of out of sequence time periods in Billy's life. WHAT a life!

So far, a fast-moving and elegiac story about Billy the Kid. Excellent.
