Coraline as a character is so boring no shade. I know it’s a kids’ book but she’s so flat in her dialogue. Ok girl. Especially since I read the forward and Gaiman said he wanted to write about a brave young girl. She is, but she’s not enthusiastic.

Coraline (Mid-Book Mini Review)
"Be careful what you wish for..."
Reading Coraline halfway through is super creepy and fun. Even without Wybie or the movie's bright, colorful look, the book feels way scarier and more lonely. The Other Mother is really creepy as her fake world falls apart, leaving Coraline to save the day all by herself.
It's fast, spooky, and hard to put down!
