I pounded through a chunk of this and am genuinely lost. There are a lot of pieces that are interesting and thought provoking, but I have no idea what direction the novel is going. Also, not a huge fan of experimental literature

There are moments where I like this book and moments where I don’t. An interesting commentary on language and science; but not really sure why this needed to be set in Flatland??

Somewhat core heavy in the sense that the middle of the book is a lot of fractured nonfiction that I wish was balanced with more of the fictional narrative. Still VAStly interesting.

The word "innovative" and "hybrid" get thrown around willy-nilly. However, this novel embodies, embooks, those qualities and more like nothing I've seen or read before. Intimations, though, intimations, literary genes to be traced. Mesmerizing.
