so i forgot to update this progress for a while, but this is a slow-going book for me to read, and so i'll probably have to find an audio method for this such as tts or audiobook. sadly, i've been more hard of hearing lately which sucks but whatever

so far, their discussion about how they leadership used a personality cult in order to motivate people... like as someone who's studying anarchism in order to counter authoritarian/likelihood-to-be-scammed-by-fascists, i suspect this book is going to be very good for that. i had been recommended this book by a maya morena youtube video because of the coverage of sex work in cuba, but yeah, i now got even higher hopes
