Tomas in Elvandar helps Laurie and Kasumi to escape the border with the Tsuranni. He is powerful and loves the queen Arglanna. The two make it all the way to Rillanon, where they find the mad king. The Royal Chancellor helps them escape to the Armies of the West on the Border where they discover Borric dying and Brucal declares Lyam the heir to the king
