I think Dream high-key resents Destruction who has been able to abandon his realm and aspect for 300 years with no real consequences, while Dream cannot be kidnapped for 100 without his realm and the world falling into chaos.

If you do not climb you will not fall. This is true. But is it that bad to fail, that hard to fall? Sometimes you wake, and sometimes, yes, you die. But there is a third alternative.
