My plan is to keep going through these exercises - just getting a feel for the script and then I’ll learn from a Michael Sull book. Then I might take a class eventually.

I just copied the letters down by sight for each of the examples in the copybooks. After 4? Years of owning these books, I finally made it through all the copybooks. [post image]. I listened to GDC talks while copying.

movements that can be used to form every letter. And when you're working in the copybooks, you're supposed to recite to yourself which principle you are employing in each part of the letter. I admit that I didn't have the gumption to do it like this.

If you're a writer, it is worth your time to learn cursive, as another method of writing can enrich and diversify your work. Neil Gaiman, for example, wrote his novel "Stardust" with notebook and fountain pen to help set the 1920s theme. the written instructions and the theory book is a bit daunting. There are literally paragraph descriptions of how to form each letter, which make use of a set of "principles"--4?
