Status Updates From Blood Slave (The Nightlife)

Getting a bit repetitive with Hope’s neediness but forcing myself to finish the book for a book club challenge.

“She couldn’t hurt me though she wanted to, and Enrique seemed to have an iron grip on her.  I couldn’t help but wink whenever I caught her wicked stare burning a hole through me.  It drove her nuts, but it made me smile.  The chick was bonkers.” I'm officially in love with Hope.

“When terrified of being murdered and fed to pigs, begging is not out of the question.  In fact, I highly recommend it.” Omg, this is surprisingly good. And funny. I shouldn't laugh when she's running for her life but...seven hells, the writing style is so entertaining. :))

It's always funny to be reading a book and then look at the author's name and find out it's a dude. Good start.

Hmmm...this chic is VERY aware of her skin tone & avoiding things that will make her skin darker. I hope there is a point to this fact being emphasized by Hope somewhere...It's sure as crap not an endearing character fact.

... debating if I even want to finish at this point. I will, but it's testing me.
