The quality of the stories hasn`t been on the same level like the previous ones, but still there were enjoyable, and I could find a story by Pugmire and Jeffrey J Taylor, Ushered on the wind, that I realy liked. It has the strangeness of Pugmire ideeas, but more easy to read and apprehend.
I`m on issue 7 now, and I have only two to go until it ends.
Overall there are the first 9 issues of the magazine in this pack.

Things we are not by Brandon H. Bell, Impressive new weird Lovecraftian post-apocalyptic story. Also, with this one, I was truly blown away! Where the heck this magazine has beeen all this time! This volume has some of the best pieces of horror that I`ve read until now. Amazing!!!
Descent into Shadow and Light by W.H.Pugmire, Not a fan of this guy writing.

Cockroaches by Amanda Underwood, In short, I was blown away by this short text! This is one of the most interesting, intense, dramatic, and complete post-apocalyptic story that I`ve read over the years. Pfuu, tremendous stuff!!!!
A meeting on the Trail To Hot Iron by Joseph S. Pulver, Kind of a cold one. Yeah, I`m not, also, into Pulver`s stuff.

False Light by Adrian Chamberlin, Something is coming on a ship from the sea. And some of the people that are waiting to loot it are trully knowing what it`s in it`s Cargo bay. Nice one.
Allure By Josh Wagner, A strange creature is washed up on the shore of an American city. Short, intense and gripping. And so unexpected!

Some Distant Baying Sound, by W.H. Pugmire… Now I know that I don`t like so much his style.
A Different Morecambe, by Simon Kurt Unsworth…Good, good story. A father and his son arrives in another city from an other "bad" reality. The Lovecraftian factor it`s more like implied than showed here, but the story has a very good tone.
Also it`s worth mentioning that all of the stories have a healthy diversity in ideeas.

Sledding and Starlings, Bruce L. Priddy, this one wasn`t such a big deal.
Rickman's Plasma, William Meikle, Short, funny and entertaining, with a big sentiment of doom overhead.
The Brown Tower, John Prescott. Also, a nice one. Two friends don`t have anything better to do than to go in a hunted mysterious tower…
The Crane Horror, Bruce Durham …What!?A giant squid!!

There wasn't a stinker in the bunch. Some stories were not as good as others, but none of them reached low points. I appreciated reading each of these for one reason or another. I can't wait to read the other collections.

I finally got to the worst story so far, but it showed enough potential that I didn't mind it so much.

I'm liking the collection so far. Even the mediocre stories have interesting takes on the Mythos. WH Pugmire seems to be the standout of the bunch, though. His stories are closest to HPL's impressionist pieces of weirdness.

While some of these stories aren't the best, the others...man, those are solidly good.
