Status Updates From Drowning in You

I’m so confused with this book. Trying to decide if I can go on even this early on.

Did not care for this book so returned to library - only read 20%

"As per all the fourteen- to eighteen-year-olds at our school, I started crushing on Dexter Hollingworth around the age of fifteen. There was one girl who hated him, but she was into girls."

Quick question: does guys like these really exist? Those guys that every straight girl crushes on? Because I can't recall a single guy that fits into that description.

Writing explains too much. Too much talk but still looking forward to reading more.

Some of the writing is weak causing a lot of rereading to understand what is trying to be said, but the story line is intriguing enough that I need to know how it is going to play out.
