The book has seriously crazy levels of un-believableness.

This narrator has a very nice voice. Very pleasing and reads really well!

His voice acting is bad though. It is 1980's cliché movie villain levels of silly.

And a big failing (yes that's harsh, but it is true) the characters' dialog uses speech from 2017. Not just speech, but phrases and idioms that make zero sense in the context of a medieval-type magical setting.

The wedding scene is cringworthy in a lot of aspects. Let alone that it was included in this book about an epic battle between lesser mages and the last trained grand master. The knights and a unicorn and old gods.

But I just can't read that amzing story. Only a story about a modern wedding. dumb.

Ya.. this book completely ignores a great story, and just makes it 99% about a gay couple being gay with eachother. Pretty boring.

Not really a great story. The characters are so wooden and might as well be walking cliches.

I am enjoying it though. How many epic fantasy books can I read where the 2 leads are gay men? I wish I found this book when I was an awkward, distraught, and ostracized teenager.

It's a life story the only thing that bugs me is there love was instant love. There was no flirting or foreplay involved.

Oh this is really cute. This takes the old cliche'd fantasy novel where knight meets girl, they save the world together.. but it has two male protagonists.

It's so nice to read a book in my preferred genre that represents me a bit more.

Hmmm...putting this one back on the TBR for later. Switching to a different book for the challenge read.

Enjoying the story, but there are a couple of slow parts that just seem to drag on. I hope the ending makes it worth it. :D
