Status Updates From Fix Bayonets!

Front section(s) dealing with World War I seem like memoir (perhaps lightly fictionalized) and reminiscent of "Storm of Steel," although Thomason's time at the front was brief, especially compared to Junger's. Later sections deal with Marine life post-war, perhaps more fiction than based on reality, although I suspect lots of real experience involved. These sections (mostly China so far) are thoroughly charming.
