These stories keep getting better & better. "Cloud," a story about a town plagued by birds (and their droppings); "Self-Cleaning Oven," a Carver-esque piece with an unreliable narrator who does questionable things...really loving this.

"Pumpkinheads" — holy shit. What a deranged free-fall into absolute madness. The banal and the horrific all crammed into one story. Echoes of Denis Johnson. What a bravura fucking story. I'm not gonna stop thinking about this for a LONG time.
