A genuine gem on a topic I never thought I’d enjoy. Puritans are simultaneously fantastic writers yet also stiff. Burroughs prose is warm and personal, but his rhetoric is formal. On the downside, this feels a bit like my brain is reading a math equation(if that makes sense). On the upside, this approach draws out arguments and perspectives I’d never consider.
