Status Updates From Super Dark (Super Dark, #1)

Although the writing is not the best I still find myself interested in seeing where this story is going.

The scary beginning has led into what, so far, feels like a Twilight-esque supernatural romance. We'll see how things progress in the next fifty or sixty pages.

This is an easy read so far. It's not overly creepy. Although Sam's feelings for Lee are a little extreme. I'm wondering if I've got an idea of the twist. We'll see.

He seemed to give the secret up pretty easily. The situation with Greg was suspected, but where did the transformation come from? That’s just plain odd...

There’s definitely something odd up with Lee. Question is, is Greg (mum’s new man) part of this?

The more Sam ‘learns’ about Lee, the more suspicious he seems. What is he hiding?

The reliving of the abduction is unpleasant. Sam is still affected by it, and this new group of friends appear to interested in her past. The new boy, Lee, seems like a likely candidate for being Eliot, though he seems to be older than them.

- “You don’t mean that,” he said quietly.
- “Yes I do. Sometimes I seriously think about ending it all, just so I wouldn’t have to live with the pain. Just so there would be an end.”
