Status Updates From Noah's Ark

It's many days after the apocalypse, you find a car with keys inside and both doors open. It actually cranks. BLEEP. Wrong. No, it doesn't. The battery is dead. Grrr... I really want to like this book. But ... EDITOR NEEDED!

Don't tell me this is a zombie novel. WTF? Not to mention that there appears to have been no editing.

Found this in my Kindle last night when nothing else seemed interesting (except for real books I can't read in the dark). The author gave it to me as a freebie at some point. So far, it has potential. It's a bit heavy on similes and metaphors. Where I would write "and he flushed the toilet", the author waxes poetic. The writing is stylistic and could do with some simile-trimming, but it's so far pulling me in.
