Hey, its an will-AI-take-professionals-jobs section (1988). The predictions were pretty good afaic: No, but expert systems remain important; professions who are very systemic might be in danger, professions that focus on creative or otherwise vague aspects are pretty save (Now, this was written long before AI text/image generators, but I assume even these are more a danger for stock photo production)

more struggles. One Mistake and your profession might go bust! Also, it is very useful to have a TV show to teach the public that your profession is awesome.

Very interesting, I highlight a lot of stuff. Working in a minor and fought-over profession myself there was so many insightful ideas and familiar experiences put in a new light.

Research on professions and their turf wars, I guess. Came here via communicative construction of organizations.
