it’s literally a town being rebuilt like a simulation.. the tour and the lady marine was weird. andrew realises he isn’t allowed there cause he doesn’t “fit in”, everything’s rations and rules. to which as soon as they’re back in the hotel, jamie says they NEED to go.

so it’s just a pack of people who live in a fort and actually are nice? they’re staying in hotel rooms too!? and not the way they got given separate rooms and jamie couldn’t sleep so has just gone into andrew’s room…

so reagan national had nothing there… it was fake. so they left the cabin for nothing… and now they’re on their way to florida to find henri’s daughter and give her the multi-tool! them finding the car on the way was cool! and now they’ve sidetracked and gone to the people who were setting of fireworks to find civilisation..

So, I got as far as the first time the boys were held at gunpoint (and had all their stuff stolen) and asked Bluesky if they could suggest something a bit more upbeat/something post-apocalyptic where the usual "pretty much everyone they meet is evil" vibe wasn't present (because I'm so not in a place for that right now) and people told me to keep going.

Um.

so andrew killed the fosters… and was going to alexandria to tell their family but the family was dead too!? and JAMIE ADMITTING TO HIMSELF HE HAS FEELINGS FOR ANDREW?

henri’s monsters were zoo animals! jamie finally used the rifle, but nearly got killed by lions while andrew ran off to alexandria thinking he was dead! and then jamie found the street where andrew was and now he’s going to admit why he wanted to detour… uh ohhh

HENRI HAD ANDREW SORTED RIGHT OUT! the way she’s helped them with a place to stay and food though!

they made it out the river… andrew diverts their way on the map and jamie realises he wants to go to alexandria and tries to get him to open up but he doesn’t.. then as they’re walking an old lady comes up behind them and now andrew has a shotgun in his face…

massive time jump and they’re now near new york after several weeks? it’s may 30th and they’re so close to Alexandria, but andrew doesn’t know how to tell jamie and refuses to take the long way so now they’re engulfed in water in a tunnel..
