Status Updates From A Casa das Sete Torres

there's things i like about it but those things are dragged on to an almost excruciating length. i plan to finish it but this may go to the side for a while until i guilt myself back into it.

So they say Nathaniel Hawthorne is one of the great writers. Maybe back in the 1800’s but I found him wordy. This book could have been half as long—his depiction of sights, sounds, people—I had to skim through some of it since it was so redundant. The ending was good but 150 pages vs 300+ would have made it more enjoyable and perhaps more impactful.
